ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP
A student upon applying may request Student Financial Aid through the Registrar’s Office. Students who for at least a year have been active members of the Faith Evangelical Church of the Philippines and can prove financial need and are recommended by their pastors are eligible to receive this scholarship. Certificate students may receive 3/4 of the full scholarship available to degree students.
A student who, upon recommendation by the Scholarship Committee, receives financial aid must serve in FECP churches on weekends. Upon graduation he may be required to work for two years in FECP if requested to do so. Graduation from FBC does not guarantee an assignment with the denomination. If he is not asked to accept an assignment, he will not be required to repay the scholarship. If for any reason a FECP student after graduation is unwilling or unable to serve in the denomination, all scholarship (money) received must be repaid to FBC. It is understood that a student must pay in cash at least 25% of his total fees. The following fees are included in the academic scholarship:
- Tuition Fee
- Office Fee
WORK SCHOLARSHIP
Students who desire financial assistance may contact the Registrar and apply for a limited number of student work scholarships. Work may include that of library assistant or other available jobs. The amount paid is based on the number of hours worked and the money available in the scholarship fund. Payment is applied against the student’s tuition fees.
STANDARDS FOR SCHOLARSHIP
- FBC students on scholarship must maintain not only acceptable academic standards (i.e. 2.25 in all subjects) but also excellent Christian character and performance of practical work assignments in the church to which they are assigned.
- Their performance in all of these areas will be reviewed each term by the Admission’s Committee.
- Should a student on scholarship fail in any subject, his/her scholarship for the following term shall be reduced by one half.
- Any subsequent failures in any subjects in succeeding terms will mean the forfeit of all scholarship aid without the possibility of restoration of that scholarship.
