OMS MISSIONARIES first came to the Philippines in 1983 to spread the Gospel through church planting, evangelism, and theological education. They formed study groups which later gathered for Sunday worship.
In 1984 the first Faith Fellowship congregation met in the V.V. Soliven building along EDSA. In time, additional churches were planted and the Faith Evangelical Churches of the Philippines, Inc. (FECPI) was formed. To train workers for the churches, OMS partnered with FECPI in 1989 and founded Faith Bible College. FBC opened with an initial class of 12 students.
It has since graduated over 90 pastors and church workers. In 2004, FBC was incorporated. It adopted the official name Faith Bible College (FBC), Inc., but remains simply "FBC" to those who know it well. FBC is an associate member of the Philippine Association of Bible and Theological Schools (PABATS), the accrediting agency of the Asia Theological Association (ATA).
